I know the thought of Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound speakers WITH a decoder for this money is appealing, and yes I'll admit, it's OK for the money. The sound is competent for small rooms. And the bass sounds smooth with music, but lacks the punch required for movies. The sattelites have the potential to be pushed to their limit, but they roll off at 200hz in the lower departement and due to the restrictions in RMS rating & sensitivity it limits their use to a small room. This isn't the most stylish system either, with the speaker's square bulky shape making them look ugly & unattractive.
In Pro Logic the sound is forced & lacks control, and the 3.5mm jack input restricts improving the sound quality with descent interconnects. The same rule applies to the speakers, with phono terminals replacing speaker wire - and the short lengthed centre restricts where you can place the sub.
Still this is a well priced system offering everything you'd expect at this price & perhaps a little more.

The DSS - 900 5.1 Speaker System for X-BOX is brilliant. Like when you throw a grenade in halo. Let it set off then stand underneath were you set it off and unlike on a normal tv you will be able to hear the dust fall all around you. It is really easy to connect to the X-BOX and gives out good crisp sound when you're playing DVD's or playing any other X-BOX games.The X-BOX is brilliant by it's self, but this makes it 10 times better.

For this price you can't go wrong you would have to pay at least double to get the same surround experience as you do with these. I set up the system in approx 15 mins as everything was colour coded. There are 3 inputs analogue, Digital coax and Optical so I have my XBOX, DVD AND TV all linked up with 5.1 surround sound. The speaker have long cables so you can position your speakers for optimum performance. Watched a few movies (Evolution, Matrix) all fantastic, Halo on Xbox was brilliant the surround brings a whole new dimension......why are you reading this go and buy now
