I've been very impressed with this phone. It combines stunning looks (various friends have often said "wow" - thinking it's rather cool!!!) with ease of use and good features. I've had no problems with the voice recognition functionality, and the built in sound recorder is of a high quality. The polyp[honic ringtones also sound great. It has an impressive battery life, which doesn't seem to have deteriorated over time (like some phone batteries can do).

Had it for a couple of days now and it is great. Its so light and its tiny. After using a nokia for a few years I was concerned about swapping, but these phones are just as easy to operate, and the jog dial is brilliant. Buy It Today... even if its just for the Blackjack and Table Soccer games!

Sony Z7 the true meaning of naff, 1 Dec 2003
Ok I got this phone thinking 'yeah i like it, it looks cool', but thats as far as it goes, after a few days you start to discover the few things which really annoy you like:-
1. ) There are two games, you cannot download anymore, 1st is called Blackjack - Cardgame, its pretty boring but what is annoying if you loose all your money you cannot play until the next day, even if your reset your phone, u have to wait 24hours to get new funds to play. Game 2 is table football, this is really boring try and work the wheels to move your table footballers to kick the ball, very exciting honest, very slow and boring.
2.) All the ringtones are naff, theres no ring tone composer etc.
3.) voice recognition is worse than anything ive seen before, breaking new ground in recognising grunts and background noises as peoples names when the button gets depressed in your pocket, and then proceeds to ring them up.
4.) After a while the battery contacts wear and it looses contact occasionally switching off the phone.
5.) Very often the phone will just stop and crash or lockup! - The time locks and the phone is unusable, you can try taking the battery and card in and out, but when it boots it locks again, many people have had this problem, i sent my phone off for repair 6 times while i had it in one year. Each time they tried different methods to fix it but without prevail.
-Overall it looks good for 5 mins before it gets scratched, but then its overall features are very poor, especially the lack of a dicionary for txt messages!.
