5.0 out of 5 stars Its always the last thing you listen to that's the best, 4 April 2003

I started listening to FZ quite late in life (early 1980's)firstly with the post mothers 'you are what you is' period and then back to the mothers etc. Always meant to get Joe's Garage but never got round to it even after 40 albums later. If you are new to FZ then this is the real deal. I'm quite glad I missed it until now because it is the icing on the cake in my journey through his work. Every aspect of FZ is here so JG is a great place to start and what is even better - my wife hates it even more than the others so it must be pure FZ!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Greatest Magical Mystery tour yet, 23 Oct 2002

Frank Zappa's crazy, zany 'Joe's Garage' is a joyous, tale written with the greatest of imaginations, no doubt also enhanced by Ray White's superbly crazy guitar skills, and superb, voice, an album, you'll listen to over, and over again. 5 stars because it's too contagious, it will put a wicked grin right across your face for hours after it's over.
