The tae-bo workout for those over 30. Well, this 38-year-old loved it, felt that the moves were properly explained (you must do that section first if you are new to tae-bo), and that it really was suitable for all fitness levels and ages. The people in the class certainly suggested that, being a real mixed bag! I am going to be brave and do some harder tae-bo DVDs as well when I feel a bit more confident, but that won't make this one redundant, as you need different levels of exercise for different days, don't you? Terrific fun.

I decided to try Tae Bo (TB) b/c I was in the mood to try something new but I also wanted something my mom could do with me b/c she also wanted to get fit. The video was challenging enough, even if it says its for 30 and over! I absolutely love the video and have began to add more to my Tae Bo workout DVD's and videos!

This is a great workout for a Tae Bo/Kickboxing beginner or low intermediate. It explains everything clearly with a 20 minute beginners' how-to section, and throughout the main workout there is good cueing and suggestions on modifications if you can't do certain things.

The people in the class are an endearingly rag tag bunch of non-professionals of all ages. They're dressed in non-trendy mismatched clothes, occassionally struggle with the moves, but look like they're having a great time. I prefer this approach to the DVDs full of perfectly toned little gym bunnies because they make me feel so inadequate. This was fun. And I reckoned if 70+ year old little old Margaret can kick like a Rockette, there's hope for me too.

It's occassionally a bit cheesy, especially when BB does his talk to camera "I can see you there at home" thing, but there's not a lot of this and it doesn't detract from the workout. My only complaint is that the main workout is so short, only 35 minutes. A good introduction to Tae Bo that left me wanting more.
