War in the Falklands is mostly an updated version of the Channel 4 1992 documentury of the Falklands War, but none the less this one is still superb. It was shown earlier this year and goes into quite some detail about certain events of the campaign that only lasted 10 weeks, and has many 1st hand accounts from those who fought to regain the islands and at the same time hugely raise Britain's profile on the world stage. A campaign that was fought 8,000 miles away it's often difficult for us who didn't fight to understand what really happaned, especially with the little amount of media coverage. This documentury 'War in the Falklands,' will set you straight as to what really happened. Some people say it took a war to make Britain great again, but 20 years on some are now asking was it really worth it? You decide.

5.0 out of 5 stars War in the Falklands a True Reflection?, 17 Oct 2004
Having served in the Royal Navy & having taken part both in the war & the making of the film I have to say (although it may seem biased which I am not trying to be), That it is a true reflection & account of what happened without trying to be too victorious or Gung-Ho about the outcome. The object was to show the actual feelings of the combatants without the usual politics attached. I feel it achieved at least that in as much that the viewer is given the "War" through the eyes of the men who were there, who told their story as it happened without censorship or minders vetting their stories. I recommend it as an accurate visual record of the events that took place back in April - June 1982.
