It's a pity we obviously can't expect Evolution 3, because this is thebest offroad racing game out there, with a lot of entire landscapes toexplore and tracks to race - and more of that being created by players,along with new truck models as well. There are too few racing games on theMac-platform as it is, and among the few, I'd hold this one as the best.The Multiplayer is very good, too, attracting virtual offroad racers fromthe whole planet. The reason why I do not give it five stars, is becausethe trucks react a little bit "rubbery" when they crash. They tend tobounce like they were made of rubber. It would have been an improvement ifone could have a real dashboard and a little of the hood in the windshieldmode, too. Crash damage would have been real fun! The graphics are stillvery good, but time is of course running away from this game, and I can'tunderstand why Terminal Reality won't take this one step further. Maybe itdoesn't sell, because you can't shoot anybody, but it is a load of fun,anyway.

I had the original title on my old Powerbook and am pleased to say 4x4 Evo 2 runs perfectly on my new MacBook Pro! There are loads of options and competitions but still find just haring around the countryside in a monster truck the most fun! Recommended for anyone into driving games and those who want to sit back and have a laugh!
