5.0 out of 5 stars a great add-on pack for Microsoft Train Sim, 28 May 2002
Here's an add-on pack I have been waiting for some time far, and at long last it's released! American Classics features 9 different locos(steam and diesel), 3 new train sets, and 14 activities. The new trains are based around the 1930's - 1950's era and are beatifully detailed, and include brand new engine sounds, cab views, and passenger views. The passenger views are unlike anything that I've seen before, in that they feature people! The trains are great fun to drive. Myself, I prefer the diesel trains but the steam trains are also great fun to drive too. And to top the package off, included are 14 brand new fun activities which total over 14 hours in durations alltogether. What surprised me is that there are activties for the default European ones as well as the American ones. However, the thing that slightly lets down(for me anyway) this package is that of the 14 new activities only 2 of the activities features the deisel trains whilst the other 12 use the steam trains - they should have balanced it out a bit more. But you can allways use the Activity Editor to create your own activities with the deisels if you wish(which is what I'll be doing!).

Anyway, all in a superb quality addon pacakge for Microsoft Train Simulator. Well worth considering.
