What a song! These guys are sure to be HUGE in 2002. Westside is at first listen a strange little song with three distinct parts to it. You'll have to listen to it again immediatley, just out of surprise - and every listen gets better. It really doesn't sound like anything else, although for a short part the vocals sound a bit Sting-ish. Don't let that put you off though - these guys rock!

A fresh mix of 70s chords and a eclectic vocal style make Athlete the most interesting band Ive seen in 2002. Any band that can make Dungeness sound like a cool place and still use theremins will always have a place in my CD rack.

On xf.m an radio 1 I have heard this track again and again and quite frankly i cannot get enough of it. The catchy chorus is impossible to get out of your head and with the cool relaxed feel in the verses this song is bound to be a hit. The band are obviously musical genius's as they have brought back some fantastic analog synths. all i can say is Go buy it coz these guys rock, they are the freshest thing in Indie rock.

Man these boys are great. A wicked fresh sound, very pleasent to the ears whilst pushing ones musical boundaries. Beautiful use of 80's analogue lead sounds - I LOVE IT!!!!!
