Having got the single today, I have to say that I have enjoyed it a lot! My favourite part of the song is where the pan pipes are used, considering that this is the first time I've heard them in a pop song - they bring a South American feel to it, which is quite appropriate considering Shakira is from Columbia.
"Whenever Wherever" was written by Shakira herself with the help of Gloria Estefan, and also writes songs in her native Spanish, as you will hear if you buy this single. She also produces her music too, so it's hard to deny that she has talent.
The single is also worth buying if you like the song, because there is a CD ROM on it, containing the excellent video. Well done Shakira!!!

Although Shakira loves in Spanish, the English version of her single is powerful and seriously kicks butt! You get the feeling she is an independent woman who has fallen in love. This bouncy single is packed full of feeling and heat felt expression. The re-mix (track 3) will grow on you (maybe as a good in-car track).

Whenever wherever is such an amazing song, when i first heard it blew me away, i know i had to buy it when it gets released. The reason its so amazing is because theres no modern song that i've heard that uses the pipes, which has to be my best bit in the whole song. Shakira is amazing and deserves all the credit she gets. What a girl.
