4.0 out of 5 stars WWF Rebellion 2001- My first live WWF experience, 5 Feb 2002
By A Customer
November 3rd 2001. Manchester MEN Arena. WWF Rebellion. It was also my first live WWF experience.
The opening match was Edge vs Christian, with Edge's Intercontinental championship up for grabs in a Steel Cage match. Good match to get the crowd going, and it had quite a humorous ending.
Next up, Scotty 2 Hotty battled the Hurricane. The crowd went wild when Scotty attempted the Worm.
Then DDP came out for a match with Big Show.Obvious who was going to win this one! After the match, DDP said "That wasn't a bad thing- thats a good thing, cos i can get the hell out of this country!"
The WCW tag titles were on the line next ina 3 way tag match- Dudleyz (champs) vs APA vs Hardyz.Good crowd reaction when Jeff hits the Swanton.
Regal vs Tajiri up next.Regal got a good reaction from "jolly old england", even though at that point he was a heel. After the match, Tajiri used Green Mist on Regal.
WCW championship up for grabs next, when Chris Jericho defended against Kurt Angle.Good technical match, and afterwards, Kurt hits 2 consecutive Angle slams on Y2J.
The puppies came out next in a female tag match, pitting Lita & Torrie against Stacy & Molly.Trish was the guest referee. We all liked that match.
Main event time, and Rock challenged Austin for the WWF title.Austin attacked Rock from behind to start the match. Great match with all signature moves used.Good run in from Angle(where he hits rock with chair) and Y2J (who saves rock). Rock thought Y2J had hit him with the chair, so he was annoyed with him(to put it lightly)! Off air, Rock hits Rock Bottom on Y2J, and Austin & Rock have singing contest! Hopefully they will include this in the video or DVD as bonus footage.
As my first WWF live experience, I thought it was great and can't wait to go again! One of the best PPV's from UK.

4.0 out of 5 stars One of the Best WWF UK PPV's ever., 3 Sep 2003
This WWF UK PPV is one of the best UK PPV's I have ever seen. This was the only time the WCW/ECW Allience left the USA for the Rebellion Tour. Matches include:
WWF Intercontinental Title Cage Match. Christian Vs Edge (Champion) A good opener, Christian is revelled for the 1st time as European Champion. This was great match which was the the third meeting between the two, after No Mercy. 7/10.

Scotty too Hotty Vs Hurricane. A good match where the crowd loved the worm!! a good Crusier Weight match. 7/10

Big Show Vs DDP. We saw a small rivalry between the two at a Raw before Rebellion and this match was the result. A quick match where DDP was let off lightly. 6/10

WCW Tag Team Championship Elimination Match. APA Vs Hardy Boyz Vs Dudley Boyz (Champions)
A disapointment really. It was low and you knew who the winners were gonna be, but the Hardy's made it worth it. 6/10

Tajiri Vs WCW Commissioner William Regal. A match where the crowd were clearly behind Regal. A bit slow and Tajiri gave Regal he green Mist.

WCW Championship Match. Kurt Angle Vs Chris Jericho (Champion). A very good match. Kurt and Y2J give there all to entertain the crowd. Best match so far. 8/10

Divas Tag Team Match. Lita & Torrie Wilson Vs Mighty Molly & Stacy Keibler. Special Guest Referee: Trish Stratus. A good match but not the best. 6/10

Main Event. WWF Championship Match. The Rock Vs Stone Cold Steve Austin (Champion). This is the only time during the Allience war that Rock and Austin faced eachother since Raw after Wrestlemania, and it was in the UK! Rock wanted Austin since his return and it has FINALLY arrived. A good match and it was better than Angle and Jericho who got involved in this match. 10/10.

The only disapointment was NO Undertaker, NO RVD, NO Booker T, NO Kane. But good Backstage promo's with Vince McMahon, Shane, Stone Cold, Kurt, Rock, Jericho & DDP.

Special Feature include. Following Raw. WCW Championship. The Rock Vs Chris Jericho (Champion) Rock gets his No Mercy Rematch which was a very good match with Rock getting busted open. 10/10

Following Smackdown. Handicap Tag Match. Undertaker Vs Stone Cold Steve Austin & Kurt Angle. A good match with funny moment and Austin Stunning Angle at the end. 9/10

Buy this to add to your WWF collection, because of the name change from WWF to WWE, once its gone, its gone!

2.0 out of 5 stars This event was boring i felt like sleeping, 15 Dec 2007
By John Evans (Teesside, England) - See all my reviews
WWF - Rebellion 2001 is not that great of a PPV i bought the DVD way back and still have it. This features matches such as

Edge vs Christian in a Steel cage match for the WWF Intercontinental Championship
This match was not bad as Edge and Christian do work well together the cage looks boring it ends to edge getting Christian's shoe lace to the cage leaving Edge to get out and score for the win

Scotty 2 Hotty vs The Hurricane
This is a match that is worth skipping Scotty 2 Hotty is boring and The Hurricane gimmick is pathetic

The Big Show vs Diamond Dallas Page
A match that was not worth taking notice

The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von) vs The APA (Faarooq and Bradshaw) vs The Hardy Boyz (Matt and Jeff) in a Triangle match for WCW World Tag Team Championship
A pretty good match The Dudley Boys and The Hardy Boyz you know you will get a good match with them in it and APA

William Regal vs Tajiri
William Regal boring wrestler Tajiri is amazing its a shame that Regal wins but Tajiri gets payback as he sprays the green mist at Regal and kicks him in the head

Chris Jericho vs Kurt Angle for the WCW Championship
We knew the title was never going to change hands and it didn't but it doesn't mean that both of these men don't give a great match they do simple as that.

Torrie Wilson and Lita vs Stacy Keibler and Mighty Molly (w/Trish Stratus as Special Guest Referee)
It was an alright diva match Stacy and Molly pull some dirty tactics to get the win but failed as Torrie and Lita pick up the win

Steve Austin vs The Rock for the WWE Championship
This match was spoiled by Chris Jericho and Kurt Angle if they didnt come in the match this would of been far better. But thanks to this interferance The Rock loses and Stone Cold is still WWE or i should say WWF Champion at that time.

DVD Extras
Have footage already featured on the event and matches worth missing.

people say this is the best UK PPV by far your wrong Capital Carnage was way better then this.
