'Harnessed The Storm' is the second full length album from the faceless techno outfit Drexciya. A combination of early electro, Detroit techno and P-funk, the Drexciya sound has mellowed since their early releases on the US techno label Underground Resistance.

Finally, another delicious collection of tracks from
Drexciya. And after listening to it, I want even
more. This album has a bit darker, less playful
feel than "Neptune's Lair" ; there are less tracks and they're longer, so no short interludes here.
Some tracks are gorgeous and full with subaquatic
soul, some are dark electro killers and "Digital
Tsunami" is the star of this cd. Overall, if
you like your Drexciya, you'll not be disappointed.

This is Drexciya's least accessible album for me. In places it just becomes too tough, the constant four to the floor beats just make it indistinguishable from most of the other techno acts out there who are making the type of techno that give the genre such a bad name.

But there are elements of the Drexciya style in those tracks that do rescue them, just. The rest of the album is superb. All you come to expect from Dreciya. Not as playful as 'Neptune's Lair', but just as compelling.
