Product Description
Amazon.co.uk Review
And so the final update of Championship Manager in its current guise arrives on the Mac, instantly taking its place as the best football management simulation on any format.

As well as the tightening up of the game engine, which allows the game to run slightly faster, numerous diverting new features have been added. For instance, you can choose not to know lots of information about a player until you've scouted them, you can compare players, the new transfer system has been implemented and heck, you can even issue an ultimatum to the board.

As with most Championship Manager improvements, none of these change the game dramatically, but they do add to the depth and realism that has won the franchise the widespread support it enjoys today. It's still as utterly engrossing as ever, and liable to keep you addicted to your PC for hours at a time. Those who like the football management games devoid of mountains of stats as ever are advised to steer clear.

But for the hundreds of thousands of fans of the series, this is yet another polished, enjoyable new edition of the game, which, after all these years, is still without a quality competitor especially on the Mac. Roll on Championship Manager 4.--Simon Brew

4.0 out of 5 stars Say goodbye to life., 25 Nov 2001
I have got the game, I have to admit that I didn't get it from amazon though...anyway...I have got it and anyone who has played the previous editions will know what to expect. The game is virtually the same as the previous; the only difference is the compare player option, which is remarkably helpful, and the ability to send players to surgery. This is not entirely true, I have Ronaldo and Van Nistelrooy for Man U, and, although they keep getting injured I haven't been prompted to send them away for surgery yet. The game overall is increadibly addictive as with previous installments and you will lose your social life if you play it. The reason I gave it four stars rather than five is because it simply hasn't improved enough over 00/01. If you have 00/01 and you are strapped for cash, don't buy this game. However, if you have enough money to burn, this isn't a waste, you won't regret the purchase!
