The Spycam from Swann Communications is a full-colour miniature camera that plugs directly into a composite video source or PC with a video input facility enabling you to keep a close eye on people or property. The first thing that you notice about the Spycam is just how small it is--it's tiny. The lens measures about 1.5 cm in diameter, which makes it an ideal size for fitting in the types of places you wouldn't normally find a camera. The camera can be operated by the supplied mains adapter or a 9 v battery (not included). Setting it up is as easy as 1,2,3 and it takes less than a minute to get a picture. Simply plug in the camera to a power source and a video source--it really is that simple. The Spycam comes complete with all the necessary cables although the video cable was a bit on the short side (about 10 cm long) and will need supplementing with an additional connecting cable in most practical uses.

The picture is very clear in a well-lit room, and it can even be used in low light. If you want the camera to cover a wide area, then a simple twist of the lens clockwise will widen the picture but soften the focus. While twisting the lens counter-clockwise will allow you to film objects with a high level of magnification.
The user manual is very good, as it not only explains how to set up the camera; it details different scenarios and uses. It even gives the precise measurements for drilling holes in pictures. If you're worried about your property or you want to keep an eye on family or staff then this is an excellent tool at an excellent price.
