This CD is an interesting piece of Moulin ROuge-inspired merchandise; I was delighted to find original recordings of the songs from the film. Nothing can compare to T-Rex's version of *Children of the Revolution* and I love the indie sound of *Diamond Dogs*, here sung by David Bowie and not Beck.

I was a little annoyed that "Your Song" is not the Elton John version, but an overlong Karaoke version that almost ruins a beautiful song.

That, however, is my only complaint. There are some gems on this CD, such as recordings by Edith Piaf and a lovely rendition of that romantic French hit, "Complainte de la Butte." It really is a must for any Moulin Rouge fan.
