This product is certainly one of the best computer-utilities you can get now. It tracks down problems itself without you having to give any input. Only clicking on "Next" will give the program enough to silently repair any problems.

There are a lot of functions in this perfect tool. There is the CleanUp, which cleans you pc and deletes everything that is of no use, there is SpeedUp, which defragraments your computer and turns your messy harddrive into a well organised harddrive. And believe me, it really decreases your start-up time. DiskFixer detects problems with your files and fixes them. The system registry; one of the most fragile things in your computer nowadays, is easily repaired by RegistryFixer, easily cleaned by RegistryCleaner and easily defragmented by RegistryDefrag. Fix-It 4 can also detect problems regarding your hardware and obviously fix them. There is a tool called SystemExplorer, which shows exactly which activities are taking place in the computer. Very useful for the poweruser. To give the finishing touch to the wonderful program, there is a virusscanner and CrashProof which prevents crashes. Unluckily it does not support any e-mailprograms. It does however protect your pc. In the box you will also find a free bootdisk, already made for you.

I personally think this program is better than Norton Utilities 2002, as you can control everything that the program does. Norton Utilities does almost exactly the same as Fix-It, but it doesn't give as much control. And to guarantee that you won't throw this util away, it's got the free EasyUpdate which gives you not only program-updates but also new Virus Defenition Lists, free of costs of course.

Great tool for a great price.

I've tried Utility packages from all 3 major providers - Norton, McAfee, Ontrack. OnTrack System Suite 4.0 is definitely the best! It is the most tweakable to your own requirements, the most comprehensive in all fields, the most powerful package I have ever used. The System Diagnostics and Fix software healed a problem I'd caused by deleting some Registry keys; IntelliCluster and JetDefrag have speeded my system up noticeably. And you get Powerdisk and a Benchmarking tool, free! One word of warning, though - if your system was as messy as mine, allow plenty of time for the first run. Full diagnostics, repair, defragmentation (on the tightest optimisation setting) and optimization took nearly 5 hours (which compares favourably with my experiences of Mcafee. Unlike McAfee, the defrag doesn't lock on a regular basis. You notice a difference with the OnTrack optimization, too). Virus protection comes courtesy of PC-cillin, one of the "big players" in the virus wars: their resucue package runs to 6 floppies, and is like having a virus library at home. Testing with Eicar showed protection at 100%. Aside from this, there are other goodies - Master Boot Disk, excellent Manual (in clear English). I you need a Utilities package, then this IS the one.
I couldn't believe the price, either: thanks, OnTrack, thanks, Amazon!

I ordered this system suite with eager anticipation, having had problems with Norton. Unfortunately it has been an unmitigated disaster. I had to disable the firewall because it caused the modem to crash. After I had run the rest of the utilities the computer took ages to execute any command - although it was supposed to speed it up! I had no option but to uninstall the lot and send it back. Perhaps I'm unfortunate. I have Windows ME upgraded from Windows 98 and access the internet via broadband. Buyer beware!
