Synopsis
When a gangster is forced to leave town, his turf becomes a war zone for criminals and the law. Two bickering cops (Anthony Wong and Michael Wong) must battle each other as they try to restore peace to the community. The offbeat action movie features lots of violence and an odd sense of screwball humour. BEAST COPS won five Hong Kong Film Awards including Best Picture, Best Actor (Anthony Wong), and Best Director (Gordon Chan).

This is a Hong Kong police drama with a difference, this time the fallen angels, the bad-boys and rulers of the underworld are the cops themselves.
Unlike normal action movies, this get's under your skin for another reasin, the cops are all too human, they drink, take drugs and sleep around with prostitutes.
What starts off as a typical setting of Good Cop/Bad cop is turned on it's head, as we the audience soon realise there is no such thing as good and evil in the the underworld of crime; only those willing to follow the rules and those who break them all the time.
Excellent I cannot recommend this enough for anyone who likes intellegence with their chopsocky.
The actual DVD features an interview with the director and two of the actors, nothing really improtant but always nice to have.
