The Sopranos... The beginning!
This box set contains the episodes that started this international phenomenon.
The two box sets of Series 1 are basically setting the stage for the Sopranos Family... Blood Ties - and Blood Oaths.
This DVD boxed set is amazing. There's the 6 episodes spread across 3 DVD's (6 hours of Sopranos), and the extras.
The extras are:
Vol 1: "The Sopranos, Behind The Hit" Part 1 of 5.
Vol 2: "The Sopranos, Behind The Hit" Part 2 of 5.
Vol 3: "The Sopranos, Behind The Hit" Part 3 of 5.
The documentary, "The Sopranos, Behind The Hit", is great. Nice and long, nice and informative. You don't have to see the next two parts to feel fulfilled - it's great on it's own.
Maybe the documentary is there to coax you into buying the next two DVD's or the next boxed set. If it is, they didn't need to do it... you'll want to anyway. The Sopranos is a great series that you will want to add to your DVD collection.

Overall:
The Sopranos is great, (Read an Amazon review on one of the single DVD's to find out what it's about if you don't know), the DVD is amazing (The documentary makes it like that).
I'm glad I bought it and I'm sure you will be too.

I'm off to buy box #2.
