This album will bring back your floppy-fringed, haversack wearing, Betty-Blue-poster-on-the-wall past to haunt you. Stirring up the ghosts of Shop Assistants, Tallulah Gosh and the entire roster of Sarah Records, the A.G.S.F.B keep it cute and simple. And damn it, it's great.

Your metal-loving flavour-of-the-month chums might say they sound like the house band at a teddy bear's tea-party, but ignore them. Four girls who dress like the Shangri-La's singing about their boyfriends. That's what music's all about.

In a world so full of corruption and pain the music of the All girl summer fun band is a beacon of light. Songs of boyfriends and general good times are token themes for an album that delivers what the artists name so fervently suggests. With 4 stand out tracks: Car trouble (containing the lyric - you broke my heart my car won't start), Later operator, Theme song and Cell phone, this album has all the credentials to steal your heart. It does on the most part succeed, and for the first 7 tracks you are left wondering why this band aren't held up as the answer to evil, but then the album begins to drag. If wasn't for the fact that all the longer, more intricate songs had been slapped on at the end, almost suggesting that the band were afraid of what the listener may think, then this album would score 5 stars easily. It is the basic structure that lets this album down, which is a shame because there isn't 1 bad song. Simple melodies on guitar, simple drum beats, the occasional chirpy organ part, all enhanced by sublime four part vocal harmonies in a song that will generally last about 2 minutes, never fails. I would recommend this album to anyone, as it would definitely bring a smile to your face, and a tune to your head. Go on, buy it, and cheer yourself up.
