Amazon.co.uk Review
Although its premise of three men, three women and their interconnected lives and loves may mark the show as a copy based on an American template, Cold Feet has slowly but surely developed into a masterpiece of its own. The third series delivers more of the same, but the script is so perfectly written and delivered that it feels like they could continue running with the same premise indefinitely and no one would mind. The performances are, as ever, sublime--particularly the trio of James Nesbitt, John Thomson and Fay Ripley--and the humour is relaxed and unhurried, leaving room for large amounts of drama. With this series seeing dramatic plot lines being developed for all six characters there is also a fair amount of suspense (the story of Rachel and Adam's wedding will have you on the edge of your seat) and the writers are in no rush to wrap things up, merely leaving you agog for the developments in Series Four. Newcomers to Cold Feet should not worry about joining the show late, as they will quickly fall into step with the ins and outs of this group of British friends.

On the DVD: With eight episodes split over two discs, there is little room for any substantial extras. The scene selection process is clear and concise and there is a rather pointless photo gallery. The standard behind the scenes footage is brief but certainly entertaining, not least the material surrounding the cast's location shoot in Nesbitt's home town in Northern Ireland--including a memorable drunken ride in a police wagon.--Phil Udell

5.0 out of 5 stars Mike Bullen continues his superb series, 20 Sep 2001
By A Customer
Season three of "Cold Feet" is, like the previous seasons, a hilarious romp through the lives of what are now very familiar and beloved faces. Mike Bullen continues his witty, insightful, and often deeply affecting riff on relationships. New facets of each character come to light in this series - strangely enough, it is Adam who, although as funny and likeable as ever, displays the other side of his penchant for making fun of others - and that is his lack of sympathy, both for David and Pete. David, although still unapproachable in some ways, becomes more understandable when he discovers he is not quite as strong as he thinks. However, it is Pete who really shines with his own particular brand of loyalty as he sticks by his friends though thick and thin, whilst weathering the fallout from his actions in the previous year. Jenny explores a newfound freedom, with consequences that are not quite as she expects, whilst in some ways, Karen and Rachel are relegated to supporting roles in these six episodes.

Series Three builds up in a more satifying manner than the previous series, as the events from both the past and the present culminate in a season finale that is both expected and unexpected, but still devastatingly precise with its exposition of the human heart and what makes us tick.

An unqualified recommendation from this reviewer, as Cold Feet continues to go from strength to strength.

4.0 out of 5 stars Definitely one of the funniest series for years, 28 Sep 2001
By A Customer
There aren't many programmes which make me laugh out loud but I did many times watching this fantastic series. Set in my home town of Manchester the 3rd series about 6 friends is definitely not one to be missed. It's one of those rare programmes which is still funny however many times you watch it - a must buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cold feet - Warm heart, 3 Aug 2003
The whole series was totally unmissable from start to finish. The characters lives unravel like your favourite woolly jumper, and you can't help but get caught up in the snags that are left behind. Each series has become more dramatic and entangled. However the comedy is still the most endearing quality of the series, as there has not been a drama as well - written and as well - acted as this one. An excellent DVD for all fans of the series.
