Poor In Every Way, 31 Jan 2006
I hate writing reviews like these - I really do, but when something is this bad others really need to be warned. A lot of people will be enticed by the title, well that's a big error to start with - this film is boring, badly filmed and pretty much stinks! Before you click no - have a read. This film was all filmed on digital media, so you'd expect a lot of clarity? Think again! Yes, it's a HD camera, but it's just so unrealistic. I hate to blame the technology, but some scenes just make you want to switch off as it's just so amateurish! There is one scene where Sammy Horn (Michael Des Barres) annoys a usher in the cinema, so he follows Sammy, but when he finds him and produces a knife, it looks like they stopped the filming, called the actor over, got him to pull his knife out on action, and it looks really bad - even a newbie would know this is a no-no! The plot isn't much better either - nasty plotlines like someone getting revenge by changing their chart is just bad taste! But it did add some suspense to the movie. The acting was poor too, Michael just about pulling off a convincing sex addict, but the girls were pretty poor too. The so called sex scenes didn't really do much to help the movie, so if you're buying this for thrills forget it, look at the censored Ben Dover stuff if you really need it, at least his material is better filmed! This is really a joke - and we've been fooled by the whole thing. Seriously - stay away from this movie, its pathetic!
