3.0 out of 5 stars excellent fights of 'old' masters, 1 Mar 2002
By Roy (Amsterdam, The Netherlands) - See all my reviews
This is 2 videos on 1 DVD. First there's 6 fights in the UK. This is Europe agains Thailand. The fights are ok, the quality of the video is very good. Good comments and they show a lot of the Thai concentration style before a fight. The other video is Holland vs Thailand. The video quality is poor, but the fights are excellent. Great fights of Rob Kaman and Ramon Dekker. The extra's on this DVD are poor. There's a good menu from which to select the fights, but names of the fighters are not displayed. None of the names or details of the fights are displayed anywhere on the DVD, not on the inlay, not on the menu. Still I like this DVD because it shows some very good fights!...

1.0 out of 5 stars Not very imprressed with this DVD, 13 Jul 2005
By Mark Roberts (Tunbridge Wells, Kent United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
If you want to see a number of thai world champions fight against various british and european fighters who generally offer little or no competition then this DVD is for you.

Also, not sure when then happened, but by the look of the crowd, eighties fashion was in full swing.

I was half expecting to see Prince or Bananarama get up and introduce the next fight.

Very disappointing DVD, particulalry with the misleading title of KINGS OF MUAY THAI.

The DVD has a date of 2001 but it's purely a recording of what was shown on TV 20 years ago.

Felt ripped off really.

My recommendation - be wary of some of these Muay Thai DVDs, i've got a few like this one which i wouldn't recommend to anyone as i've seen better fights on TV.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Fights, 9 Dec 2005
This is by no means a training video. But if you want to see some top class thai boxing then this is for you. Ranging through different class fights, the best proberly being the fights in England (Thailand vs europe). The filming is quite old (roughly late 80's to early 90's) judging from the clothes and entrance music, but this does not mean the fights are the same! the bout between Orlando weit vs Changpeuk is one of the most explosive fights ive seen.
The fights later on the disc are all foriegn language commentating, but that realy doesnt matter, as its the fighting you buy this for and not the commentary.
All in all a very good buy

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent fights!!
For anyone who is into Thai Boxing/Muay Thai, I have two words Ramon Dekker. Worth buying just for his fight.
