Who would have thought there was so much gorgeous music in this obscure Rossini opera? Opera Rara have managed to persuade Jennifer Larmore to perform the role of Falliero, and she does it exquisitely. Majella Cullagh rises to the occasion as Bianca, and the duets between these two women are the highlights of this CD. Unreservedly recommended!
