An absolutely spectacular show, 7 Oct 2001
The not-so-typical S Club beats of the number one hit "Don't Stop Movin'" kick in as the crowd roar into a frenzy and scream for the S Clubbers to show their faces. This fantasic show sees Tina, Paul, Hannah, Bradley, Rachel, Jo and Jon sing, dance and act to one of the many sell-out venues they performed at. The energetic dances were well combined with their live singing, proving to the critics that they can live up to their fans expectations. We see the lively group perform their well-known hits "You're My Number One", "Two In A Million", and of course "Reach" with a little help from the audience. This DVD is a must see for all fans, and even for the not so avid fans who just appriciate the fun, fire and glitter seen in this showing of the live event. Whether you missed your opportunity to see S Club 7 live, or you just want to relive the magic of the night where thousands of people waved their hands in the air "like you just don't care". We've got Paul getting down on the floor, Rachel doing her thing and Jo has definately got the flow. A night out turned to a night in with a few of your friends and a big bowl of popcorn. Don't forget to put on you dancing shoes! A truly brilliant piece of entertainment.

S Club gonna show you how....and then some., 21 Nov 2001

Thought that S Club 7 were nothing more than a bunch of photogenic, lip-synching choreographed lightweights? Prepare to have your preconceptions rudely overturned by this somewhat revelatory concert.
At last the band is unleashed live on stage, and the pure joy and energy with which they attack their back catalogue of hits is palpable. There's no overdubs and no "help" from backing singers, as the band ably handle all vocal duties themselves, accompanied by a crack band of session musicians who give the songs a harder, funkier edge than one might have expected.
Of course, there's some cool sets and costumes, and the occasional involvement of just five other dancers, but generally there's a refreshingly direct approach with no "comic" acting interludes or distractions from the music. For the final four tracks, the scenery is raised to reveal the instrumentalists, and S Club 7 get down and dirty, making your adrenaline pump faster than it has since you were at the concert in person. And if you weren't there, why not? Never mind, this superbly filmed and edited package puts Jo, Tina, Bradley, Jon, Paul | |
