Britney's Third album shows a move in her career. Her first two albums were more pop than anything else, this release see's her move slightly from her routes into a harder RnB groove. There's still some pop on here, "Anticipating" is pure pop but not her trademark pop. "Cinderella" is similar to Stronger, and with the epic ballad "Not Yet a girl..." and many RnB penned tracks such as "Let me be" and "That's where you take me" show the smoother RnB sound with a hint of eastern music where as "Overprotected" and "Lonely" show a harder RnB sound. Along with this is the first single "Slave 4 U" which mixes euro beats with hip-hop to produce a sexy simple catchy sound. Overall this album is not too different in style from her last album but it's definately more mature and more RnB influenced. It is going to do really well. This won't disappoint.

Unlike most people who were totally put off by the first single "Slave 4 U" I loved it and bought the album immediately, only to be very dissapointed! "Slave 4 U" is totally amazing & totally different from anything I have ever heard before, but I listened on to find bland pop. "I'm non a girl..." is probably the next best on the album. It's a really nice, sweet & easy to listen to song. "Overprotected" would have been good but is spoiled with the dumb 'action' & 'I need love, time space' and whatever blabbering through the song. The tracks that Britney co wrote are really bad! "Anticipating" sounds like something from a cheesy supermarket advert, "Lonely" is just bad music, a really mumbled verse & a chorus that she is totally not capable of singing! "Let me be" has no tune! "That's where you take me" and "When I found you" ane shoddy boring slow album fillers that almost put me to sleep. A very bad cover of the excellent "I love rock & roll" is included - to show how grown up and cool she is now? "Bombastic Love" & "Cinderella" are not as bad but they don't make much impact. "Boys" sounds so weird at first but it really grew on me. Overall, I think this album could have been fantastic, like "Slave 4 U" a totally new style. Its not even the old Britney pop which I liked, just plain awful.

Im a hhhhhhhhhuuuuuuuuuugeeeeeeee fan of Britney and this albulm is fab shes growing up and her music is getting better. Overprotected is a brilliant song with brilliant lyrics and no one can say she dosent write her own songs as she has written seven of this albulm!! BUY IT! ITS WORTH IT!!
