I only stumbled across this album by chance and i'm glad I did. At last, a collection of the best B-sides from BBR's two albums (without most of the endless remixes), and four CDRom's of the singles. It's surprising how much fun you can have listening to three people complaining about how difficult life is.

My highlights include 'Soul Boy', the gloomy 'Factory Radio' and a cover of Sarah Nixey's favourite Bowie track, 'Rock & Roll Suicide'. Although the album is largely brilliant, I was rather disappointed with the cover of 'Seasons In The Sun' which is too short and 'Lord Lucan Is Missing' which is just bad. Despite this, the genius of Haines and Moore's songwriting and Nixey's voice is brilliantly highlighted in this package of BBR's so called 'worst' songs - consistency being one of their greatest assets. The videos are great too, especially 'The Facts Of Life' which follows two young teenagers who are too shy to ask eachother out (Sarah is also in it a lot, which can't be bad).

I assume only die-hard fans will buy this album, although it is excellent value for money. Every Ideal Home should have a copy!

I really liked the "seasons in the sun" cover, but UpTownTopRankin' isn't that hot.

I think this would serve as a great intorduction to the band, and is worth it IF you haven't been avidly buying the singles. (Guess which sucker bought the singles AND this album.)
