Amazingly straightforward installation on Windows XP. Put the card in, wait for Windows to detect it. Plug your DV camera in, turn it on, wait for Windows to detect it. Install Premiere and that's it! Uses official Windows drivers, and everything worked first time, with no IRQ conflicts! A great value card and software combination that actually does what it says - and works! Premiere takes a while to get used to, but it gives you the ability to create very professional results. Highly recommended.

This has to be one of the only pieces of computer equipment I've ever bought that's worked straight out of the box! Took about 10 minutes to set it all up and as I do A-Level media studies was already familiar with Adobe Premiere 5.1 so 6.5 didn't take much getting used to. The firewire capture card works like a dream, the only problem is that my DV camcorder only has DV out, not DV in so I can capture footage but not put it back on my camcorder. But that's my camcorder's fault, nothing to do with this product. I have to admit I was ready to be dissapointed as it said that it came with Adobe Premiere 6.5 and Ulead DVD Workshop for just over �200 but these were both full versions, with manuals and even a CD with updates and patches on so no need to dowload them!

In short, if you want to make professional-looking videos, all you need is this and a DV camcorder and you're off. Fantastic value! Buy it! Buy it now!
