This is a classic Lego set, but with a contemporary market in mind. Fans of Harry Potter will immediately recognise the significance of the Mirror of Erised, the cauldron, the white owl and the cloaked figure with a tiny scar. The attention to detail in this set is fantastic, and some never-seen-before pieces include spell books which open, close and hold flat objects, a luminous spider and two golden keys for a gorgeous door.
This set is well worth it's sale price for anyone who is particularly fond of Harry or Lego in general. With a little imagination, kids could have days of fun contriving stories based on the Hogwarts classrooms, though really other characters and scenery are a must. This is a great new format and an excellent start for building up a Harry Potter Lego collection.
