Allow about 40 minutes to work through the full easy-to-follow construction steps found in the 52-page instruction booklet. As well as building Hagrid's Hut, meet the lovable, kind-hearted giant Hagrid. And just in case Hagrid should become lonely, his purple-cloaked protector, Dumbledore, is also enclosed, together with a small LEGO Hedwig for our favourite gamekeeper to send messages to his young friend Harry Potter.
Fully built, the octagonal cottage seems humble in its external simplicity. Inside, however, the hut is a wonderfully complex place of intrigue and mystery. Discover all of Hagrid's hiding places for his most precious secrets. Fans of Harry Potter and the Philospher's Stone will remember Hagrid's experiments in dragon breeding. True to the book, LEGO's big-bearded Hagrid has hidden his library book "Dragon Breeding for Pleasure and Profit", this time behind a hidden door. Discover the dragon Norbert The Norwegian Ridgeback, lovingly protected in Hagrid's secret revolving LEGO chamber.
In addition to the mystical cottage, other accessories to build include a small cage and Hagrid's wooden cart. And just in case your young Wizards' imagination takes a further flight of fancy, the instruction manual has another five scenarios to build out of the bricks that make up Hagrid's Hut.
This is a great set for Harry Potter fans. (Recommended for ages 8 and above.) --Victoria Mackenzie
