Synopsis
The demented doll Chucky is resurrected yet again and begins searching for a new body to possess. As luck would have it, he finds Andy (Justin Whalin), the kid he tormented in the first two films, now a troubled teen cadet in military school. Naturally, blood splatters and gore spews, as demonic Chuck runs amuck through the academy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well I liked it., 30 Aug 2002
By dean (Devon, England) - See all my reviews
This isn't the best child's play movie, i prefer child's play 2.
But it still had its moments. I first watched this movie about 6-7 years ago. After that i thought that they killed off chucky for good. He returned yet again in bride of chucky, which wasn't so good.

Chucky is remade at the beginning of this movie, it carry's on from child's play 2. A claw comes down from the ceiling inside the toy factory and picks up chucky's melted corpse. It then carry's chucky over a fresh tank of plastic, his blood drops into the plastic, you can then guess what happens.

Chucky then goes on his search for Andy Barclay. He finds him at 'kent military school'. Chucky mails himself to the military school. When he arrives the body counts begin.

The movie ends in a theme park in the middle of nowhere. Chucky is thrown into a spinning prepeller and is cut to pieces. That is where i thought the chucky series ended.

In bride of chucky he is not on a search for andy barclay, can't blame chucky though, i would have given up on the same person if they had beat me 3 times. If you are a chucky fan i recommend it to you, but if not then just rent it. I don't think that you can rent it because it was banned.

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't F*ck with the Chuck!, 6 Jul 2004
This film may be the weakest of the series, but it's still great! Andy Barclay is all growed up now (well 16) and has been sent to Military school. He's still haunted by his past, namely his 'Good Guy' doll Chucky.

Though Chucky can now swap bodies with someone new, this is a retread sequel. But none the less is good fun, mainly because of Chucky's mannerisms and one-liners.

Taking place at a Military school and a ghost-train type fairground ride, this film has a gothic feel to it. Not a lot of gore but then that's not what this series is about, but Chucky himself takes quite a kicking!

Kevin Yagher who usually oversees the puppet work, doesn't do it directly this time, and the film does suffer slightly because of this.

I don't really understand the criticism of this film. Yes it's the weakest of the series but if you think of the 'Elm Street', 'Friday The 13th', 'Halloween' and 'Texas Chainsaw' series, they all have some absolute abysmal sequels in there somewhere, whereas this film isn't even bad.

All-in-all a fun film, whether you're a Chucky fan or not.

3.0 out of 5 stars 2, 4, and 5 are all better sequels, but this one's okay....., 22 Mar 2006
Yup, my title pretty much sums up what I'm gonna say.

Anyway, I had bought this on video used because I had all the other Child's Play films except for this one. And a pound ain't a bad price for a used video, is it? Well, it was well worth that pound, but had I payed for the DVD, I probably wouldn't have been to happy. As someone below said, how does Chucky wrap himself up and send himself to the Military academy that Andy is at? And how the hell did Andy turn 17 after only a little over a year?! They definately should have not done that. They should have kept him at his real age, and got back the kid actor that they used for the first 2. Hey, he could still go to the military academy if they wanted him to. That little Tyler kid is about as old as Andy would be if they didn't suddenly jump 7 years into the future for this flick. Oh, and does anyone else think Andy's geeky room mate looks like Marilyn Manson? Hehe. It would be interesting if he was! Um yeah, so this is an average stalk-'n-slash flick, but if you're bored or something, then go ahead and buy it. You probably won't feel any strong feelings one way or the other about it.
