After the criminally under-rated Soldiers and Sailors... album Fearless was eagerly anticipated but does it live up to its excellent predecessor?

Well, yes and no. Opening tracks Fearless and Haunted are upbeat balls out rockers that get the foot tapping and have you singing along to the chorus on the first listen. Fly Away showcases Danny Vaughn's vocal talents to perfection but you're left waiting for the track to kick in just as it finishes.

It is a testament to the strong song writing that the lyrics can be read without the accompanying music, although to get their full benefit you need to have the stereo cranked up to 11!

Together with some excellent guitar work throughout the album and the always listenable lyrics Vaughn have produced another worthy record. Perhaps not as good as their first but still well worth the money.

Cast off the shackles of teeny boppers and Ibiza clones, Vaughn are a band with a great future - and with a bloke as personable as the eponymous front man at the helm who can begrudge them all the success in the world? Certainly not me.

Fearless is a truely great CD, the very best of melodic rock. Just buy it, and if you haven't got Soldiers and Sailors on the Riverside buy that as well. I haven't got that many CD's that contain no fillers and that you'll want to keep playing time after time and still sound fresh and have the ability to make you want to sing along.

Danny Vaughn and Micheal Clayton Arbeeny doing what they do best - writing and producing great music. Back to the old Tyketto sound! Keep up the good work boys!
