This album I bought from .com a while back. Hughes has a phenomenal voice, of that there can be no doubt. Indeed the album is worth getting just to hear him vibrato and scream in his own plant / gillam / coverdale / Ray charles way - if you haven't got anything else of his. However you can't help but feel that it is a little bit OTT. Whilst there are some strong tracks here, 1, 3 6 (at the end) and 9 it is fair to say that there are a couple of throw away tracks. BUT I would buy the album again as the change in track 6 (and the build with the musicians and his voice) is worth the cover price alone. I am not a huge fan, but I remain interested in his soulful rock adventures....
