They will live together in a house while they prepare their debut album. They will work with legendary record executive Clive Davis. They will be the first signing to his new label. They will be filmed every step of the way. If all goes according to formula, they will also be teen heartthrobs with a few hit songs on the radio. So goes the story of O-Town, the group created for and by the US television show Making the Band. Taking a step past saccharine pop, O-Town venture into Michael Jackson-inspired R&B ("Girl"), piano-driven balladry ("All or Nothing", which sounds a bit like Bryan Adams), and even straight-up rock ("Love Should Be a Crime" could be sung just as easily by Jon Bon Jovi, but wouldn't sound as good). They also make endless pop culture references, especially in their single, "Liquid Dreams": "I dream about a girl who's a mix of Destiny's Child, just a little touch of Madonna's wild style, with Janet Jackson's smile/Throw in a body like a Jennifer, you've got the star of my liquid dreams." The words aren't the only playful elements here--watching them compete against boy band stalwarts Backstreet Boys and 'NSync should be just as fun. Even with such tough competition, though, O-Town deserve a chance. With their hit show in its second season, and songs as good as "Liquid Dreams" and "The Painter", they'll get one. --Heidi Sherman

This album shows that 5 boys can create such a good sound, for every kind of taste in music! There is the pop part "liquid dreams" r&b "girl" and a rocky feel with "love should be a crime", with there helping of there television show i would think that this album will be a great hit. I would say that there are NO cheesy, pop songs at all which you would expect from a boy-band(hate that word) album. The boys in the band, Jacob Underwood, trevor penick, ashley parker angel, dan miller and erik estrada. Have brilliant voices, and thats is why i have no problem in giving them a 5 star rating! woohoo. You guys rock!! by kapriesse mason

O-Town have a very distinct sound not only with their vocal ability but their wide variety of sound within this astounding album. Not only do they have great voices but they have great writing ability. Jacob Underwood deserves a medal for his co-write in "Take Me Under" - a stylish R&B number. Other hightlights are "Love Should Be A Crime" which sounds like it sould be on the Dawson's Creek soundtrack and "Every 6 Seconds" which is so infectious it almost cries out O-Town addiction. Also they can sing the odd ballad two with the wonderful "All or Nothing" which is quite honestly much better the any attempt by the Westlife boys to make the girls go weak at the knees! The two songs which featured heavily in the screening of "Making of the Band" - "All For Love" and a little Diane Warren number, "Baby I Would" are slipped in in the end to satisfy the fans. They are good songs but the O-Town guys can do much better, which their debut single "Liquid Dreams" shows. Do yourself a favour and don't miss this album. Check it out!

When you first put this on you'll prob think y did I spend £** on this when the only good songs on there r the 2 singles, but honestly, if u give it a chance the fantastic vocals & fab songwriting really start 2 come thru!! Best song by far is Love Should Be A Crime because it shows that O-Town r not just another boyband singing a mix of poppy trash & soppy ballads. My fav is actually Every Six Seconds though because it puts u in a great mood! All Or Nothing is the best ballad on there. Jacobs 1st attempt at writing on Take Me Under is really good (It was the B side of Liquid Dreams so u mite've heard it!) Worst tracks r prob All For Love because u've heard it 2 much if u watched MTB & The Painter because its just 2 cheesy!! I'd def recommend it if u want an album u can just chill out 2!! x x x
