Product Description

Video Description

Be prepared for a very emotional ride as Ally McBeal returns with the conclusion of Season 3. Blending humour and poignant drama, Season 3 Part 2 bids a tearful goodbye to Ally's first love, Billy. The episodes commence with Ally's brazen spirit going to dangerous lengths to capture a man...by purposely crashing her car into his. It would've worked if the gorgeous guy in question hadn't laughed like the sound of "a cow giving birth" ("In Search of Pygmies"). The team's frolics continue as Ally wins a contest to become one of Tina Turner's backing singers for a night ("Oddball Parade") and has cyber-sex with a minor ("Do You Wanna Dance?" "Turning Thirty").

Synopsis

5.0 out of 5 stars *sob*, 6 Oct 2004
By A Customer
Having never been a fan of the series when it first aired, I was sceptical that I would enjoy Ally McBeal when it was repeated in the UK. But quickly I found myself hooked. All the characters are so masterfully written, that I found myself blubbing in front of the TV for no less than 20 minutes when we (yes, we) lost Billy. It's the only thing the producers of the show got wrong. Billy shouldn't have been killed off (although I understand he chose not to renew his contract with the show), he and Ally should have got back together after he and Georgia divorced. And his brief encounter with his PA, Sandy? What was that?! It was clear from the pilot episode that Ally and Billy were soul mates. She'll never find anyone like him. I guess I'm like Ally in alot of ways... A sucker for a happy ending, everyone finding "the one" and living happily ever after..... Except I don't hear Al Green in my head. Fantastic show!

For the emotional waifs amongst us this is nothing less than a white knuckle ride, thanks god for the corsett to prevent my sides from splitting and the box of kleenex to mop the tears.
