.....and one thing thats almost certain is the impossibility of reaching the end of a Half Man Half biscuit recording without laughing aloud at least once. This lastest offering is no exception.The masters of puns, parody and left field obsevation have done it again, from the opening strains of Bob Wilson -Anchorman(and I'd love to meet the man who had the bright idea..)to the closing roar of Vatican Broadside. From a listener better aquainted with earlier classics like "D'ye Ken Ted Moult" its remarkably reassuring to see that this Biscuit hasnt gone Limp over the passage of time.

Quite how they manage it is anyone's guess but there are some gems on here that would make it on to a "greatest hmhb hits" compilation, if hmhb ever had a hit. Particular favourites are Vatican Broadside and Bob Wilson.

A must for anyone who has ever smirked at a hmhb tune. And if you haven't., you really don't know what you are missing

The only reason this brilliant recording scores 4 stars instead of 5 is the shortness of it, both in terms of tracks and the length of those tracks. The brilliant Bob Wilson could and should have continued for at least another verse, so good it is!

Other favourites include the Lonnie Donnagan "tribute" New York Skiffle and the country folk of Worried Man Blues. And as far as a HMHB insult goes it gets no better than Vatican Broadside.

This gets played as much as any of their full length albums and is a fantastic addition to any music collection.
