Its almost two years since Robins debut album, Blame It On Rock & Roll but the wait is now over. The eagerly awaited new album is released on October 2nd by A2 Records, entitled Hidden Power
Blame It On Rock & Roll certainly caught the attention of a lot of people, not least legendary rock producer Keith Olsen, famed for his work with Whitesnake and Fleetwood Mac amongst others. After hearing the debut from the Canadian songstress he insisted that he produce the new album. And he was not alone, legendary rocker Randy Bachman (Bachman Turner Overdrive, The Guess Who) got in contact with Robins management and offered to write and perform on the album
So as a result, Robin travelled down to LA to record the album, joined by some of the most respected rock musicians around. Bass duties were taken by Jeff Pilson from Dokken, Drums were played by James Kottack from the Scorpions and guitarist Tim Pierce, who has worked with everyone from Michael Jackson and Celine Dion through to Christine Aguilera and Bon Jovi added the final touches. The result ... Hidden Power
The album was once again cowritten by Robin and John Capek (Rod Stewart) but this time they were joined by amongst others Randy Bachman, and Alan Roy Scott (Celine Dion and the soundtrack for The First Wives Club).
