This is a very, very clever video, with Rory Bremner over-dubbing the voices of the cricketers. One example is David Gower, on the boundary before a match, doing a piece to camera: "well, welcome to another English cricket season, the traditional sound of leather on stump"! Then we have Robin Smith trying to sell helmets with the help of the West Indian fast bowlers, Graham Gooch introducing the England Team to the Queen - "this is Phil Tufnell......watch your jewellery", the Inzamam ul-Haq catching practice and the absolutely priceless "Geoffrey Boycott Run-out Masterclass" including the famous Derek Randall one. A fantastic piece of entertainment you'll be glued to. It's just such a shame it's not been transferred to DVD - only 'Creased Up 2' - which is funny but not as good as No.1. Still worth buying, if you still have an old video player.....

I first purchased this on video many years ago and found it to be very funny. With the demise of video players, I was pleased to see that this had been released on DVD. It's brilliant, very funny indeed!!

Great impressionist, brilliant satire. Rory bremner is something special, a one of. He's not only a great impressionist, but also a perfectionist. He literally becomes the character, through voice and gesture. And when he's in full makeup, he is a sight to behold.....first class.
