Product Description

Amazon.co.uk Review

Little Teletubby fans will adore this plump Laa Laa in soft fleece material, which is perfect both for cuddles and for teaching coordination, memory and recognition. Not only does Laa Laa have her distinctive antennae and flappy ears, plastic face, blinking eyes and shiny tummy patch--she's also an expert at that well loved game "Heads, shoulders, knees and toes".

The game is played in a very clever way --there are little round pads on the top of Laa Laa's head, and on each of her shoulders, knees and toes. When one of the pads is pressed, Laa Laa says in her own distinctive voice "eh oh" and asks "where's head?" for example. If the right pad is pressed in answer to the question there is a rewarding giggle and a "yes, that's head, where's shoulders?" and so on, encouraging the child to choose the head, shoulders, knees and toes in the right order. If all pads are pressed in the right order Laa Laa sings an enthusiastic chorus of "Heads, shoulders, knees and toes" as a reward!

If the wrong pad for the sequence is pressed there's a gentle "no" and a giggle, followed by a renewed question of "where's head?" in a way which is encouraging rather than, disheartening. In this way, play will progress easily from being a guessing game with interaction which very small babies can enjoy to a more learned game designed to provoke a song and teach the names of body parts as it goes.

Laa Laa's back can be unzipped to allow access to battery case for easy changing--but the battery case is far enough inside her soft body to ensure no hard corners inside are felt. In case she makes any messy friends it is possible to surf ace wash Laa Laa with warm soapy water.--Rachel Ediss
