There is a library of over 300 pre-designed rooms which might provide some inspiration, and you can turn a flat 2D view into a full 3D walkthrough to help get a real feel for what your new place will look like. If you are planning a large project and need to buy lots of materials, then the shopping list generator might be a help, and you can even do work designing the exterior of your house.

Watch the tree grow and the colors change in near-photographic quality and ensure that your space will be as lovely in autumn as in spring. If your machine is on the slow side, the animation will be a bit clunky, but the individual frames will still be sharp. The advice is helpful but unobtrusive and uses both text and multimedia appropriately; every step of design from siting to finishing is explained helpfully.
