Absolutely Brilliant, 20 Oct 2003
The only thing that gives away the fact that this is a low budget film is that the extras on the DVD tell you so every other minute, oh yeah, and the fact that it does not have a hollywood cast. The story is brilliant and well thought through. It is about a young girl from a deprived family who is involved in a car accident. Her boyfriend is killed and she lies clinically dead for over 3 minutes. She is resuscitated and makes a full recovery, but something comes back with her. Strange banging and things moving scare the family witless. When all else fails, they enlist the help of a reporter who has his own hidden agenda. She has to face up to what really happened before she can come to terms with what is happening now. The family then move and start a new life, which will probably last until she is 25 if she doesn't give up the smokes! The lead part is played by newbie to the screen, Heather Ann Foster, who's performance is absolutely brilliant! The extras (on the DVD version) add to the overall brilliance of the disc. Anyone who has ever heard of the 'Enfield Poltergeist Case' and wants to know more, or even people who have never heard of it but are interested will find a wealth of information.
