Amazon.co.uk Review
The Nokia 3310 is a small but fully featured mobile, which also has the benefit of being customisable with Xpress on covers. This phone has an internal antenna, so it has curved lines and a low profile. Dual band capability means you can use your phone abroad, and the battery can last up to one week. The 3310 has a real-time clock, which will time-stamp all your calls and you can also use it as an alarm, as a stop watch and for reminders. T9 predictive text enables you to type messages faster and picture messaging is also supported. SIM toolkit gives you quick access to extra information menus and a vibrating alert enables you to answer calls and messages discreetly. A number of speed dialling options are available, including voice dialling for up to eight numbers. You can store up to 250 names on the SIM card, depending on type; however, there is no internal phone memory. There are 35 ring tones to choose from and space for seven more, which you can either create using the built-in composer or receive as a message. Profiles for phone behaviour can be customised, or downloaded and any picture messages can be used as a screensaver when the phone is not in use. Special features include chat messaging, concatenated messages and "smilie" templates. Call charges with Vodafone Smartstep for local, national, answerphone (voicemail) and other Vodafone mobiles start at 25p per minute for the first three minutes of each day. After the first three minutes, subsequent calls are charged at 5p per minute. Calls to other mobile networks are charges at 40p per minute at all times, while text messages are 12p each.
