Product Description

Amazon.co.uk Review

The Nokia 3310 is a small but fully featured mobile, which also has the benefit of being customisable with Xpress on covers. This phone has an internal antenna, so it has curved lines and a low profile. Dual band capability means you can use your phone abroad, and the battery can last up to one week. The 3310 has a real-time clock, which will time-stamp all your calls and you can also use it as an alarm, as a stop watch and for reminders. T9 predictive text enables you to type messages faster and picture messaging is also supported. SIM toolkit gives you quick access to extra information menus and a vibrating alert enables you to answer calls and messages discreetly. A number of speed dialling options are available, including voice dialling for up to eight numbers. You can store up to 250 names on the SIM card, depending on type; however, there is no internal phone memory. There are 35 ring tones to choose from and space for seven more, which you can either create using the built-in composer or receive as a message. Profiles for phone behaviour can be customised or downloaded and any picture messages can be used as a screensaver when the phone is not in use. Special features include chat messaging, concatenated messages and "smilie" templates. Call charges on BT Cellnet Pay And Go are 25p per minute peak, 10p per minute off-peak and 2p per minute at weekends. For a full breakdown of call pricing, take a look at the technical data. --Simon Pickstock

4.0 out of 5 stars 3310, 13 April 2003
I have had this phone for about a year now and so far hasn't caused me any real problems. It is extremely user friendly and very easy to work. The battery life fades fairly rapidly but as long as you charge it every night you should be ok. One other thing is that the maxiumum amount of messages you are allowed in your inbox at any one time also decreases. It started at about 19 and it now down to 10 (even with and empty outbox) This has happened to evreryone i know who has this phone. Apart from that if you are wanting an easy to use, stylish phone, i would say this is the one to get.

4.0 out of 5 stars 3310 is not that bad a phone!, 15 Jan 2004
By A Customer
Ok, i've had my 3310 for about 2 years now it it's still working fine. I don't get all this about having to charge the battery every night though? Mine lasts the best part of a week, although admittedly I use it for texts more than phone calls. Also do you really need to keep more than 10 txts on your phone? What do you need them for once you've read them? Obviously the 3310 is no longer the most up to date stylish or lightest phone but it's a good reliable bargin for what you need out of a phone, mainly being the ability to call and text people rather than it being an all singing all dancing game/internet/camera machine that will break within a year.

However it's only 4 stars because there are better looking lighter phones out there now, but still, it's a good bargin if all you want as a basic phone, and the character length on the txts is bigger than most other phones.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Phone Ever, 21 Feb 2004
By A Customer
The Nokia 3310 is one of those special moments in the history of technology when someone got something exactly and perfectly right. It's easy to use, has hardly any pointless/useless features, it's tough (mine's survived three years of drunken nights out in perfect working order), it's a good size, stylish and affordable. It is a testament to the stupidity of mobile phone companies in general that this phone is increasingly difficult to find, although the way mine's going, I don't think I'll ever need to buy a new one. Perfection!
