There are but a few world class ensemble bands. Their place of origin gives proper and unique context to a common ground of resignation, beauty, and a scope as wide as the sea. Godspeed You Black Emperor (Canada), Sigur Ros (Iceland), and The Dirty Three (Australia) are familiar names. If you can picture Calexico recording in Madrid with any of these groups, you're halfway to the sound of Migala. A sextet from Spain, Migala exude dusty atmosphere. Their newest release _Arde_ ("it burns" in Spanish) finds them on the same road stylistically from their first two albums and simply getting better at what they do. The title is apt, for this is music with heart. It does burn, sometimes intensely and at other times with just a flicker. Seek out _Arde_ and you'll be pleased.
