I've been trying to get hold of this CD for months and I have to say that I'm not disappointed now that I've finally heard it. It's a brilliant mix of crazy, upbeat rock and beautiful, haunting tunes with a little bit of Latin spirit thrown in, and it perfectly evokes the mood of the movie. There are too many great songs on this CD to name them all, but two of my favourites have to be Emilianna Torrini's 'To Be Free' (this song is the whole reason I wanted the CD in the first place, it's gorgeous!) and 'Sleep' by The Dandy Warhols. This album is the sort of thing that you listen to in the sunshine whilst remembering your first love and all the dreams that you had for your life. But don't get me wrong, it isn't depressing (there's an element of that, but watch the film if you don't understand why!) and it always picks you up again after a slow song and makes you want to dance! The album opens and closes with Latin tunes that reflect the multi-cultural elements of the film, and the songs are really well chosen and catchy, even for someone who isn't normally familiar with this sort of music.
I absolutely love the film Crazy/Beautiful, I think it works well on all kinds of levels, and the soundtrack definitely follows along the same lines. If you're looking for some melancholy indie-type songs, you'll find them here, but there's also rock for the less dreamy listener. This album has introduced me to several new artists who I will definately listen out for in future, and it has also shown me that The Dandy Warhols have hidden depths that I hadn't realised before, as I've only heard a couple of their singles. The only thing that I felt let this CD down is the omission of David Grey's 'This Year's Love' which is one of the songs that I think stands out from the film. But even without it, this is still a really strong album.

This album is mixed with different kinds of music some spanish rap, easy listning and rock. Worth buying! 16 tracks on the album most of them are brill and will keep you playing it all night.
