Out of the three productions from the solo members of dc Talk, I was unsure what to expect of this one. What I got was pretty neat. This is a rock album. The tracklist is refreshing, though I had heard some of the songs before. Like Kevin Max and dc Talk's work, yes, the lyrics are relevant. Michael Tait and his crew, including a member from Grammatrain, a member from here, a member from there....bring together their experience in something that couldn't actually be expected to fail. And it doesn't. I was torn between giving it four stars and giving it five. It is a very very good CD. If I were to make a criticism it would be that...*sigh*...its not totally new, in the sense that dc Talk have covered some of this ground before. But it's still very good, especially if you've never known dc T or any of the artists previous work. In most of todays albums you could pick three or four tracks that stand out for you. I could pick six or seven here, and the others are good too. There is not, in fact, a bad track. Looking For You is emotional, Alibi is fun, American Trajedy is an attack on racism, Talk About Jesus demands that you not only tap your feet, but get the notes wrong too. While I was unsure what to expect, I was not disappointed.
