The built-in games are generally very poor and the design of the hardware does not inspire confidence. I tried it with the new Ubisoft Scrabble cartridge, but nine out of every ten attempts to boot the game would end with an error message. This is despite following the instructions to the letter and making sure that the various bits and pieces were securely connected.

The game-to-go cartridge is a puzzling addition when the packaged games are so very poor - I did not enjoy playing these games on my PS2 and would enjoy them even less on the Gameboy. I think they would do better to forget the game-to-go cartridge and reduce the price of the product accordingly.

I have given this product two stars for an interesting idea and for the inclusion of the Gameboy action replay. If the hardware worked properly and the packaged games were better then three or even four stars would be justified.

Although this may seem like it is worth it please, please do not buy this. I did. And subsequently was a complete waste of money. I bought one and it was faulty. They exchanged it for a second one and the man from the shop says it was fine. The instruction booklets of products are things that I never tend to use. But after two hours of labour doing a load of rubbish and wasting my time reading the manual, it still didn't work! In fact the manual implied that you could be playing with three minutes! Not BLOOMIN' likely. They said it was my TV. But our TV had the right specifications for the PS2 as well as the stupid Gamestudio. They wouldn't accept it back either! Well I thought I could give it to someone who was buying a PS2 but yep! You guessed it! It didn't work on their TV either. Their TV had been bought recently too! An I just unlucky?

I brought the older version of this product for my son. He thought it was exellent! he said it can play gambeoy colour games and that it gives you some cheats for all your gameboy games, his favourite was pokemon gold.
