Product Description

Amazon.co.uk Review
Handsome trio BBMak break away from the Backstreet Boys/N' Sync axis with a debut album, Sooner Or Later, which revolves more around guitar-driven pop-rock rather than synthesizer-heavy big ballads and attempts at hip-hop cred. With classic-sounding vocal harmonies and arrangements reminiscent of a cornucopia of 1990s "lite-rock" stars, the disc is well produced and particularly likable on its first few mid-to-up-tempo cuts. It's when the group slows down, as on "Ghost of You and Me" and "I Can Tell", that it starts to come far too close to Richard Marx territory for comfort. Though such tracks don't display BBMak at their best, they're unfortunately the ones that radio programmers may be most likely to embrace. --Rickey Wright

CD Description
British trio who's material is similar to Savage Garden. A mixture of rock, pop and soul. Includes their top ten singles 'Back Here' and 'Still On Your Side'.

5.0 out of 5 stars A refreshing album full of brilliant tracks!!!, 26 Oct 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Sooner or Later (Audio CD)
I bought this album after going to see a Ronan Keating concert at which BBMak were supporting him. Ronan certainly had to perform well to do better than them. I was very impressed as were many other people.
After only having this album barely 24 hours I'm hooked. There is not one track that falls below the standard of Back Here. My personal favourites are Next Time, Unpredictible and I Can Tell although I can not say for sure as the whole album is thoroughly enjoyable.
The style of the album is rocky pop. The guitar music which features throughout make it very harmonious and suits their style perfectly. There are songs to make you happy and songs to relax to.
THis album is a perfect mix and theres a song to meet everyones needs and every mood.
Although not my normal choice of music I'm now converted and so will anyone who listens to it!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Gorgeous Tracks!, 21 Nov 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Sooner or Later (Audio CD)
Im more of a Muse, and Dave Matthews girl, and heard this album by mistake. Probably one of the best mistakes I have ever made! This is a lovely, laid back album, with actually intelligent songs. Nothing like what you might expect from a squeaky clean (& very cute, mind) boy trio like BBMak.

Gorgeous melodies to chill to. At the same time, having very meaningful lyrics, that give the listener the chance to lie back and contemplate.

An Album that simply MUST be owned!

5.0 out of 5 stars Unbelievable. Not a single track poorer than "Excellent", 17 Sep 2001

Not being a BB Mak fan before (in fact, I hadn't even heard of them!) I was forced to sit up and take notice when I caught them performing their single "Still On Your Side" on TV. I was really impressed - pure guitar pop with rich harmonies, it was perfect. I was expecting this to be the best their album had to offer, but I was very wrong... as I went through each track I grew ever more incredulous that there really was no 'filler' material, and the whole CD was full of quality. Tons of top-10 single potential on here.

This is what pop should be - BB Mak have captured a really pure kind of musical style. Certainly one I'll be listening to and recommending for a long time.
