If you took Billy Currie's work and stripped it down to it's innermost core, the resulting piece of work would be what you find on this CD. The brooding melodies in this CD stand clear from clutter of any sort and scream right off of Currie's fingertips in song after song. While this CD feels a little more disjointed than his other works, one cannot truly appreciate the songwriting talent and pure melody master of Currie unless you have heard Stand Up and Walk, Liberation, Crisis, and Irish Widdershins, my personal favorites, because of their unique sound as much as their melodies. Ultravox fans will also appreciate Ukraine featuring Cann and Cross on their respective instruments. Another diverse body of work from Currie that yet again proves him to be one of the most original musicians of our age.
