Stunning 18 minute first track - a true "global chorus" with African chants, aisan wailing, synths from Eno and Kraftwerk... then the song part with a really strong chorus. If you enjoyed the Sakamoto "Beauty" album you'll like this. Track 2 is a simple piano & vocal version with Sylvian and Sakamoto only. Track 3 is paino and cello version (the cellist is a well known classical artist), track 4 is an edited version and the final cut is an instrumental by Y.M.O. and Steve Jansen. This CD has sold nearly 700,000 copies in Japan in a matter of weeks.

Sometimes collaborations between artists results in something wonderful - unfortunately this is truly less than the some of its parts. A very twee musical score reminiscent of a bad west end musical is only enlightened by Kraftwerks opening 4 second introduction (& conclusion). The presence of David Sylvian (all lyrics & some vocals), will make this an essential for Japan completists ... but be prepared to be disappointed. One for the fanatical completists only
