Jump aboard the Letterby train and hop off at the station of your choice Will you try the "Alpha Blaster" where you are asked to recognise which shapes aren't letters or will you attempt the "Label Table" where you must match a picture with the correct spelling of a word? You will find something to do at each of the stations. However, don't attempt to get off at the Power Room until you have collected enough stars. Friendly, narrated help is available at all times.

I am very disappointed with this CD in general. I was surprised at the lack of any sort of tracking facility with the program. It is fundamental that the parent is able to check how far their child has progressed and to highlight weaknesses. The only way you can get this information is to sit with your child as they make there way through pretty laborious exercises. I expected far more from a product associated with the Times.

Not as good as the maths one but nevertheless interesting for the children. Useful structure, taking them methodically through various sections to the end destination. Trackable in that sense. Once they have got to the end destination the challenge has largely gone, but they can, and should, return to earlier sections again to look at harder sepllings, or constructing more stories. My 6 year old liked it, even though it took her about 20 mins from installing to finishing.
