Product Description

Amazon.co.uk Review

Christina Aguilera's My Reflection is a mirror that shows where the teen-pop diva's going (toward grown-up diva-dom as an R&B star) and where she's been (showcasing her navel on a dance-infused tour). Aguilera's first concert video shows that what this "girl" really wants is to move beyond the bouncy R&B-flavoured pop she's known for. Her cheeky hits ("Genie in a Bottle", "Come On Over Baby", "What a Girl Wants") are followed by songs from Mi Reflejo, her Spanish-language album and My Kind of Christmas, her holiday release. She has sweet duets with R&B legend Dr John on "Merry Christmas, Baby" and balladeer Brian McKnight on "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas", as well as sharing the stage with rapper Lil' Bow Wow (weird, but it works) on "So Emotional" and "Christmas Time". (Quick behind-the-scenes interviews from MTV's Diary punctuate the concert.) Despite her inability to resist over-the-top vocal histrionics, Aguilera's range is impressive, whether she's performing a spirated rendition of Free's 1970 hit "All Right Now" or belting out Etta James's 1961 classic "At Last" after giving the blues singer a heartfelt tribute. --Valerie J Nelson, Amazon.com

5.0 out of 5 stars She sounds even better live than on her CD's, 30 May 2001
By A Customer
This video is a live performance by Christina aswell as interview snippets and a clip of 'the making of Come On Over Baby'. The song list includes all her well known hits, songs off her Christmas and Spanish album and 3 covers. She sings Climb Every Mountain, Etta James' At Last and All Right. The latter two are sung with technical excellance and far supass the original artists. Her voice is amazing and is shown off to full potential. The only downside is that it is so obvious she is reading off an auto cue in between songs, she should stick to what she's good at; singing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Christina Is Pure Magic!, 16 Feb 2002
By A Customer
People mistake Christina for "Just another blonde pop star." Well let me tell you, she is anything but that! This is one of the best, if not, THE best music video I've seen.It shows clips from interveiws as well as well as behind the seens' footage from her hit, "Come On Over Baby." Her voice is truly beautiful, and she proves you don't have to be touched up in a studio, to sound fantastic. The whole concert is completly live. There are also guest appearances from Lil Bow Wow,Brian McNight, and blues singer,Dr John. All her well known hits are here,(Genie In A Bottle,What A Girl Wants,I Turn To You and Come On Over Baby) plus a few from her Spanish and Christmas albums. This is a MUST for any true Christina fans.Or just for people who want to watch Christina work her magic!

5.0 out of 5 stars Stunning performance by a stunning singer!, 19 Jul 2002
I already knew Christina was an amazing singer, and now I know she's even more amazing after watching this concert! Christina sounds just as good, if not better live, and she really captivates you with her voice and performance on stage. In this concert she sings plenty of songs from her english & spanish albums, as well as some christmas songs. You'll love this dvd if you are already a fan, or even if you still need convincing!
